Workshops
At Chetna NGO, we believe that financial literacy is a powerful and essential tool for long-term empowerment. We are a student-led initiative dedicated to helping underprivileged girls and young women build the skills and confidence needed to make informed financial decisions—enabling them to lead independent, self-sufficient lives.

The Importance of Financial Literacy
Financial literacy is more than just managing money—it’s about building a life with stability, autonomy, and dignity. For many underprivileged women and girls, especially those living in vulnerable situations such as domestic violence, lack of financial knowledge can become a barrier to breaking free. At Chetna, we strive to change that.

By teaching women how to save, budget, understand bank systems, access government schemes, and build entrepreneurial skills, we enable them to stand on their own footing. Financial independence means they no longer have to rely on others for basic needs. It means they can make safe, informed decisions for themselves and their families, and walk away from exploitative or abusive situations with the strength that comes from knowing how to manage and grow their own money.

Empowering girls early with financial education lays the foundation for a future where they can confidently pursue education, careers, and leadership without financial fear holding them back.
